Out of the mouth of babes...

Kelly and I celebrated Christmas in Virginia with her family. She has this 5-year-old nephew who just didn't want to eat. But later he went to his grandmother (Kelly's sister) and said "Grandma, can I have some ice cream?" She said, "No, William, you need to eat something good." He said in his raspy little southern-accented voice, "Ice cream's good."

Post Concert Traditions

I made Matt take me to Friendly's last night following the second performance of the "Living Christmas Tree" down here in Jimmy-town (see somewhat related blog post). Naturally, I had my usual Reese's Pieces Sundae. Matt's parents came along, and his mom had the Mint Mudslide sundae.

You will be proud to know that I announced the post-concert excursion to both violin sections, which led to several violinists seeking out the creamy, sugary goodness with their friends as well. I'm always happy to seduce! *winks*

Woo.

I had a great evening last night.

Not only did I go on a real nice first date last night, but I also discovered that Buffalo has a Cold Stone! It's on the corner of Maple and Transit in Williamsville. I had the oreo mint thing, and it was delicious!

So if anyone is interested in going there, let me know.

(Yeah, I know it was a long time since I posted, but I just couldn't keep my excitement in)

Ice Cream, anyone?

Cheryl, thank you for informing everyone about the opening of the Cold Stone Creamery here in Pittsford. I hadn't had the chance to do so. Also, they will be opening one in Webster next year, as well, so I hear!

Anyway, I'm playing this Sunday with the Hayseeds, that bluegrass satire band, at the Artwalk thing. We're playing at 2:30 in front of Starry nights for 45 minutes. I was thinking that maybe we could all go to Cold Stone after?????????

It's been way too long. I don't have any papers to serve for a week or so, so I actually have time in my schedule. Whaddya'all say???

Holy Moly is right! Happy Birthday to all! Happy Birthday Mary Rose!

Thank you Bitter for the very nice words that you sent to my mother for my memory book. Such kindness! I had a wonderful, busy, crazy, happy birthday filled with the limbo, hula dancing, karoke, food, fun and an incredible CHOCOLATE VOLCANO CAKE! Woo Hoo!

Volcano Cake

My mother and I made this cake. How fun was that?! (no ice cream though...)

So many Leos, so little time for celebration...

Happy Birthdays to PINKY who turns the BIG 4-0 and also to Mary Rose, who flips to 26. Also a shout-out Happy Birthday to two honorary members: The mascot Alice's owner, Charlene, who cranks to 43, and also to this blog's favorite singer/songwriter (besides me...), Mary Simon!! I think she's 31.

All birthdays are this weekend. Holy Moly!

Bufffalo-centric Ice Cream

There's a new place for ice cream on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. Watson's Candy Store is selling ice cream now and has come up with Sponge Candy Ice Cream. Apparently you have to call ahead to make sure it's even available! Will our fearless leader find a niche in her schedule to meet up for a social at this new place sometime this summer?

The Evil Darilicious...by request.

Ok so the E.D. is what I have coined as part of the Christian Industry. No, this is not a Christian bashing post. I happen to be a Christian. Christian Industry is a business that uses their Christian "titles" to bring in business while raising their prices sky high, taking advantage of people. They use their Marquee to put up Christian values and sayings and they are closed on certain Christian holidays but are open on Sundays and they seem to only hire young, blonde, pretty girls. The requirement is to wear tons, I mean tons of make up, with sparkles and dresses them in white pants which are see through. The place is also known as panty line haven. Besides prices being too high, what is also quite consistant is how they rip you off. You want nuts? Xtra. You want whipped cream? Xtra (This is the place whose claim to fame is a FREE cherry on top of their twists or cones) If you want a cherry on your bannana split or turtle however...Xtra...AND the creme de la creme...If you give them a $5 a $10 or a $20 they will, every time, tell you that you did not give them the denomination that you did give them and you will either need to cause a scene and give up, or wait for a phone call later when the till is counted at the end of the shift.

So there it is. I hope my post wasn't too horrible but it was by request. So do I do everything someone asks me to do? Hmmm, no. Was my post hypocritical? I don't know, but it felt good.

BOYCOTT DARILICIOUS! To the Big Dipper....Away!!!!
