I got this really big envelope in the mail today from a phone company called Working Assets. They want me to switch to them for my long distance provider. Get this, the insentive is not a check for $80 (which I got once) not a trip to Florida nor free long distance for a month but BEN AND JERRYS ICE CREAM FREE FOR A YEAR!!!!!!! Well, a pint a month...made me think about it.

Sorry I won't be at the song circle tonight. I have Bronchitis and a sinus infection AND I have to be at work on Friday at 6am! Have an awesome Birthday and have a beer for me :-)

What Better To Eat When You're Sick?

While I've somehow managed to avoid getting the flu (so far) from Matt, my sinuses went into overdrive this week and I was forced to stay home yesterday. Well, the weather sucked too but that's another story. So what better way to soothe a sore throat than to consume several Wegman's ice cream sandwiches? Yes. I said several. And for some reason, the freezer above our refrigerator isn't exactly keeping things at crispy cool frozen states, so the ice cream between the chocolate wafers was a bit mushy. Still quite tasty. I debated shoving the box into a snow drift outside the side door since it's apparently colder outside than in my freezer! Anything to keep my ice cream from going into sludge mode.

Again, this is a mini-pseudo social.

Two days ago, my mother made both me and herself a true creme de minthe parfait, which means the actual alcohol and vanilla ice cream.

Then I went downstairs to my computer, looked at photos, and cranked it.

But thats another story....
This was probably already mentioned in the past...
...and probably by me...

But in that case, it's worth talking about again.

I got to have ORANGE CREAMSICLE flavored flouride at the dentist today. I've never been happier at the dentist's office. It was delicious...

The road to hell is paved with....ice cream..

Or something like that. I've been meaning to post this for two weeks now, but there's a saying about good intentions...can't remember how it goes....

The point being...who gives the BEST Christmas gifts??? The answer is Cheryl (a/k/a Rose), who gave all the local TLIC goils these cute little Snowmen. This one is mine, and it's a little different than the others, so maybe one of y'all other goils will post a photo of yours?

Addendum

I think my ICF needs to go above a 5. These days it seems I eat ice cream every freaking day. Anywho, wanted to share my newest creation. Vaniila ice cream between the halves of a cinnamon graham cracker. OMG, to die for. Right after yoga, right afer dinner, for a snack, all the time. I am seriously addicted. HELP! LOL!
New Year's Eve

I came back from Buffalo on NYE and was very excited to see my friend Danielle who was hosting the party that I was going to. The day before I leave to come back to CO she calls and says that she is stuck up in Vail and asks if I will have the party at my house! Um, how 'bout NO! I not even in CO yet, let alone have time to make plans to have a party from 30,000 miles in the air! Jebus! So Lena, the other woman who was originally planning the party with Danielle saves the day and has it at her house. It was a sit down pot luck (people in Boulder LOVE pot luck, it's hysterical). We had 2 Indian dishes, quima muter which is basically ground meat, peas and potatoes, and this really excellent green bean, pumpkin curry dish. We also had olives, bread, cheese, wine, etc. It was a real feast. To top off the evening the woman who is hosting the party, contributes dessert. OMG!! Can we say YUM! Ice cream of course, or else I wouldn't be blogging but let me tell you how this woman presented it. It was plain vanilla ice cream on top of a wafer thin chocolate covered cookie, topped with blackberries and port wine poured over the top. I totally had the big O! Whoo hoo!
