Springtime for Hitler

Let me just say whoa! Ok, Whoa! I went to go see "The Producers" a mel brooks musical, in Toronto yesterday and boy was it fricking fabulous. The Hagan Daz ice cream at intermission was a bonus. Some of my favorite parts was the hillarious Sprintime for Hitler, a musical written by this insane Nazi in the play. I don't want to give it away, but let's just say that you have never seen Hitler look so good. LOL! My other favorite was Little Old Lady Land where we have about 20 'little old ladies' doing a good rendition of shuffle off to buffalo or some tap dance number with their walkers. Now that's a good time! HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!

Did I wake up in Florida?

Because it was like 55 degrees here and SUNNY today! There was SUN! On December 28! In Western New York!

So Kelly and I grabbed Hank, her dog, and went for a little walk in the SUN along the Erie Canal where it was really SUNNY! And you could see the moon, too. Even with the SUN shining!

Well, a day like this calls for ice cream, n'est pas? Did I just speak French? Like a sissy? Like a turncoat French person? Sorry. Off to Bruster's we went, and I ordered a brownie sundae. Rather innocuous, a sundae, doncha think? Well, the clerk brought me THE BIGGEST DAMN SUNDAE I'VE EVER SEEN!! It was HUGE! Bigger than the monster sundaes at Friendly's. Kelly said HOLY SHIT! Don't feel obligated to eat the whole thing at once! No kidding! Because the brownie was actually TWO brownies. I would never eat two brownies at once, even though I'd want to, because it's just too many calories. So I can't eat that whole sundae. I ate all of the ice cream and whipped cream and pecans, but left one of the brownies, which I will eat tomorrow. I think. Maybe tonight. It's less calories if you spread them out through the day, right?

Seasonal Ice Cream & Dreams

Matt and I hit Friendly's last week (or the week before?) for a I'm-too-tired-to-cook-plus-we-have-no-groceries-in-the-house-dinner. I topped off my dinner with a slice of the Jubilee roll. It's not a stellar dessert, but it was the holidays so you almost feel obliglated to eat it in that tradition-must-win-over-sensibility kind of way. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't a Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter sundae.

Other note: I keep having ice cream social dreams. Every so often I'll dream that we've gotten together for a social somewhere. It's totally bizarre since I always dream about seeing you guys and in my dream (every time!) I think, "Wow, how cool is it that I was able to meet up with everyone! This is too cool!" At least ice cream social dreams are a million times better than the reoccuring dreams I have about tornados. Those wouldn't be so bad if they were the kind of tornados that involved ice cream and candy pieces. Oh wait, those are called hurricanes or cyclones. Whatever. Hope y'all had a good holiday!

I had ice cream on Christmas Day!

We were invited over to my bo's mothers for Christmas dinner and she was fixing lasagna. Yum! Well there was a bit of a fiasco, she didn't have any tomato paste and since it was Christmas, she couldn't get any so she substituted pizza sauce...Then the sausage that she used was Bob Evans hot and spicy. Now, remember, we are in corn land where they don't understand that there is a difference between bratwursts, kalbasa, breakfast sausage and italian sausage...needless to say, the sausage was soooooo salty and had an unknown spice that none of us could eat it! So out came the ice cream and the cookies!!!!!!

I felt bad but she chalked it up and did well. The lasagna went into the garbage disposal...what a shame.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I know that this doesn't really count for much, but I had a social by myself, for those times I have been too busy to go. After the Fantasticks tonight, I went to the porn store to buy some gag gifts (yes, they are gifts for people, and yes, I did have to get myself some reading material, well, at least picture books) and then I went to Wendy's for a frosty. I know it doesn't count for much, but at least it counts for something.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some reading to do.

An Evening Out...Starting at Friendly's

Ok...first off, sorry if this gets long...I don't engage in adult conversation too often.

To start the evening, my Mom has to go into to work for a minute..which is in Brighton. So she suggests we go out for dinner. We decide on the Friendly's on W. Henrietta Rd...a VERY nice Friendly's, BTW. We all had our usual selections....nothing interesting there. So we head to mom's work. Heidi and I stay in the van to keep it warm.....listening to an AWESOME CD(can't remember the name...lol). I was telling Heidi how Pinky did the artwork(she remembered the ice cream trip when we met you). Heidi then asked if I remembered when we went to see Leah at the bookstore. I said yes and she also remembered the storm that knocked out the power during the show. The kicker was that she also remembered that Leah used to give out Reeses PB Cups at her shows...lol.

Moral....It always comes down to ice cream or chocolate!

*hugs*
"A Good Meal Deserves a Good Dessert..."

For those of you who haven't discovered Jenny's blog, take a moment to bop on over there. Not only is it a nicely designed site, but she also posts wonderful things (with pictures) like this recipe for a seasonal ice cream treat. That in itself is a reason to go say hello. I've been drooling over this picture for days. Now I just need to get off my arse to make it.

Right Wing Ice Cream?

Y'all won't believe this site. So clever, yet so....weird.

Star Spangled Ice Cream: "Ice Cream with a Conservative Flavor". Check out these hysterical flavors:

Gun Nut (Coconut Ice Cream with Almonds and Chocolate Chips)
I Hate The French VANILLA (Real American Vanilla, NOT French Vanilla)
Iraqi Road (Chocolate with Roasted Almonds and Rich Chocolate Chips)
Nutty Environmentalist (Rich Buttery Ice Cream with Roasted Pecans)
Smaller Govern-MINT (White Mint with Rich Chocolate Chips)

Well you know, I don't care if the ice cream is.....(*whispered*)conservative. As long as it tastes good and isn't hurting anyone.

I know it's not much, but I don't blog here often, and it seems that during the off-season, few people do.

I just ate a big bowl of Wegman's Creme de Minthe ice cream as I updated my blog (http://hominisliber.blogspot.com) and celebrated the end of Advanced Accounting.

Yes, I am a plug whore, but not in that manner, you perverts.
